The cost of staying undecided

It's tempting to believe that the biggest risk in any plan is choosing wrong. In practice, the more common failure is never choosing at all — staying in research mode, waiting for more certainty that isn't coming.

An undecided state has a cost, even though it feels safe. Every week without a decision is a week without the compounding that a decision, even an imperfect one, would have started.

The fix isn't recklessness. It's a deadline for the decision itself, separate from the deadline for the outcome.
